Prince of Persia: the Lost Crown Dashes Onto Ios & Android

Having brought a bold art direction and more of that platforming goodness in 2024, Ubisoft is now expanding the reach of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown onto iOS and Android mobile devices. Available now, interested players can enjoy a free trial that covers the introduction of the game before committing fully to this latest adventure.

Adapted by the Ubisoft Da Nang studio for mobile, the game has seen optimisations and tweaks that makes it a great experience on the go without the need to be online at all. The mobile version boasts high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay, running at 60 FPS on most recent mobile devices.

Players can enjoy Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown with either an external controller or touchscreen controls. The game offers full control remapping and touch control customisation, allowing players to adjust the size, position, and transparency of various control inputs. Additionally, this mobile version introduces unique features such as auto-potion, auto-parry, slow time options, and other quality-of-life enhancements tailored for mobile gaming. All accessibility features from the original game are included. The game also offers adaptable difficulty for enemy encounters and platform assist.

“From dynamic buttons with clear visual feedback to Controls remapping, we had a clear plan to adapt the existing complex controls scheme. We also were able to bring in a lot of new quality of life options making platforming and combat easier to handle for the players who want to,” said Alexis Denancé, game content director at Ubisoft Da Nang.

“Our team’s extensive experience in adapting multiple titles for mobile platforms allowed us to prioritise early on several key areas. Through these efforts, we are proud to have created an experience that is both enjoyable and inclusive for all players,” added Nhi Ho Ngoc Bao, associate producer.

In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, players will embody Sargon, a talented young Persian warrior from the elite group known as The Immortals. Set in the mythological world of Mount Qaf, players will embark on a mission to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan and restore balance to a once magnificent, now cursed land.

Players will harness their inner warrior by utilising Time Powers, combat skills, and platforming abilities to execute stylish combos and defeat a variety of time-corrupted enemies and mythological creatures in challenging combat. They will explore a Persian-inspired world filled with grand landmarks and intricately connected biomes, each with its own unique identity, wonder, and danger. The game offers an epic adventure where players immerse themselves in Sargon’s story, solve puzzles, discover hidden treasures, and complete quests to uncover the mysteries of Mount Qaf.

The game is now available for purchase at a special launch promotion price for the first three weeks on the App Store and Google Play Store. From May 5, the game will be available at full price.
