Ubisoft Confirms Global Launch for Rainbow Six Mobile
Tactical Rainbow Six Gameplay Heads to Mobile
Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Rainbow Six Mobile will launch worldwide on February 23, 2026, bringing the long-running tactical shooter franchise to iOS and Android as a free-to-play experience.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the mobile title aims to replicate the core identity of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, reworked specifically for touch-based platforms.
At its core, Rainbow Six Mobile centres on 5v5 Attack vs Defence multiplayer, preserving the franchise’s emphasis on planning, information gathering, and destructible environments.
Attackers deploy reconnaissance drones and breach fortified structures, while defenders reinforce entry points and rely on surveillance tools, traps, and positioning to hold their ground. Matches are designed to be faster than their console and PC counterparts, yet they still require coordination and tactical decision-making.
Operators, Maps, and Mobile-Exclusive Features
At launch, Rainbow Six Mobile will feature over 20 operators, including fan favourites such as Ash, Mute, and Dokkaebi, each retaining their signature gadgets and playstyles. Ubisoft has also confirmed a selection of iconic Siege maps, including Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, and Villa, as well as Restaurant and Summit, two locations created exclusively for the mobile version.
The game will support multiple modes, including Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch, as well as Ranked, Quick Play, and Private Matches. Ubisoft has placed particular emphasis on onboarding, with a dedicated tutorial designed to teach Rainbow Six fundamentals to new players unfamiliar with the series’ tactical depth. Seasonal updates will introduce new content over time, mirroring Siege’s long-term live-service structure.

Limited Availability Ahead of Global Launch
Ahead of its worldwide release, Rainbow Six Mobile is currently available in Poland, France, Canada, and parts of Latin America, allowing Ubisoft to continue refining balance and performance based on player feedback.
With the global launch now locked in, the mobile adaptation represents Ubisoft’s most significant attempt yet to translate the Rainbow Six formula to a broader, handheld audience.
Rainbow Six Mobile launches globally on February 23, 2026, for iOS and Android.
