RuneScape: Dragonwilds Expands Classic MMO Universe With Survival Co-op

It is not always a given that games and the worlds created get to be fleshed out beyond what is already in the hands of the players. For the invested RuneScape community, Jagex has just the opportunity to do so with RuneScape: Dragonwilds, an open-world survival crafting game set in the same universe.

On RuneScape’s forgotten continent of Ashenfall, dragons have awoken. Gather, build, skill and craft to survive in this co-operative survival crafting game. Only by mastering survival and uncovering ancient secrets can you hope to slay the Dragon Queen — alone or with allies. 

Players will be able to wield wild, transformative magic to survive and level up skills to overcome challenges in this adventure built on Unreal Engine 5. A hand-crafted landscape infused with magical energy is ripe for exploration, paving the way for an adventure that blends high fantasy with light RPG elements and iconic RuneScape lore. 

RuneScape: Dragonwilds will allow solo players or groups up to three friends to adventure together. Uncover ancient secrets, battle legendary RuneScape creatures, and discover a world filled with mystery, danger, and unforgettable encounters.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch into Early Access in Spring 2025 and is available to wishlist on Steam.
