Nioh 3 Demo Arrives January 29 Following The Game Awards 2025 Reveal
Team Ninja Highlights Demo Details and Early Purchase Bonuses
During The Game Awards 2025, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that Nioh 3 will receive a full playable demo on January 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
The announcement was paired with an action-heavy trailer spotlighting new bosses, expanded weapon stances and the sequel’s darker supernatural direction. The full game launches shortly after on February 6, 2026.
The upcoming demo will allow players to test their skills in solo play or online co-op for up to three players. Progress made in the demo will carry over into the final release, letting fans begin shaping their samurai build ahead of launch. Team Ninja confirmed that additional information about the demo’s content will be shared closer to release.
Returning Armour Sets Featured as Early Purchase Bonuses
The Game Awards trailer also revealed new early purchase rewards inspired by the series’ past protagonists. Players who redeem the Hellfrost Armor Set will receive two bonus outfits: the Youngblood Armor (Samurai) from William in Nioh and the Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja) worn by Hiddy in Nioh 2. These sets will be available for a limited time after launch.
KOEI TECMO also confirmed a significant discount on Nioh: Complete Edition on Steam, offering newcomers a 90% reduction to revisit the first game before diving into the sequel.
Pre-orders Open With Multiple Editions Available
Nioh 3 is now available to pre-order in both physical and digital formats. The Digital Deluxe Edition and standalone Season Pass offer additional content at launch, while a SteelBook edition includes the base game and two exclusive DLCs. All versions include the early purchase bonus.
A special physical edition, the Nioh 3 Treasure Box, is available exclusively through the NIS America Store. It features the game, a Scampuss Netsuke charm, original desk pad, artbook and soundtrack CD.
Nioh 3 releases on February 6, 2026, featuring Japanese and English voice options and multilingual text support.
