Ubisoft Confirms More Assassin’s Creed & Two New Far Cry Games Are Incoming

Ubisoft’s Vantage Studios is developing new Assassin’s Creed titles including multiplayer, alongside two new Far Cry projects backed by Tencent funding.

Multiple Assassin’s Creed Projects in Development

Ubisoft has confirmed that several new Assassin’s Creed titles are currently in development, including a dedicated multiplayer experience.

In a recent interview with Variety, CEO Yves Guillemot outlined the company’s plans to significantly expand the franchise’s reach under the Vantage Studios flag. After surpassing 20 million players last year, the company aims to grow the Assassin’s Creed community even further through both traditional single-player entries and new multiplayer-focused initiatives.

While Guillemot did not provide specific gameplay details, Assassin’s Creed Hexe is widely believed to be among the next major releases in the series.

A Dedicated Multiplayer Entry

The most notable confirmation is a standalone multiplayer project set within the Assassin’s Creed universe. While there have been experiments with multiplayer in the past, this marks a more deliberate push to build a sustained social experience around the brand.

Whether this new project will lean toward cooperative gameplay, competitive modes, or a live service structure remains unclear.

Two New Far Cry Titles Confirmed

Beyond that, the French gaming giant also revealed that two new Far Cry games are in active development.

Although no concrete details were shared, industry speculation has previously pointed to one mainline entry alongside a separate multiplayer-focused spin-off. The Far Cry franchise has historically alternated between expansive single-player open worlds and experimental multiplayer components, making a dual-project approach plausible.

Ubisoft did not announce release windows for any of these titles. However, the confirmation of multiple projects across two of its biggest franchises signals a renewed focus on strengthening its flagship properties.

With Assassin’s Creed expanding into multiplayer and Far Cry preparing its next chapter, both Vantage and its parent company appear committed to doubling down on its most recognisable brands.
