Xbox Games Showcase – Ninja Gaiden 4 Set for Bloody October Launch

with Blood-soaked Action, Ninja Gaiden 4 is Ready to Strike in October 2025.

After a long hiatus, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja will be revisiting the Ninja Gaiden franchise. Not only are they reviving the series through the more classic-styled Ragebound, but they’re also investing in a full-fledged mainline title with a larger development budget. The newly announced Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming along nicely with the help of one of the industry’s top action game developers: Platinum Games. And the best part is that you won’t have to wait too long to experience it.

After teasing fans with an initial trailer that met the high expectations typically associated with the Ninja Gaiden name, Koei Tecmo has now officially revealed that Ninja Gaiden 4 will be launching this October 21.

This announcement came with a nearly 2-minute trailer showcasing intense gameplay and action sequences featuring two main characters: Yakumo and the legendary Ryu Hayabusa, who will fight side by side.

Armed with a wide array of deadly weapons, both characters promise unique and visceral combat styles that are filled with blood and adrenaline-pumping action. This dynamic duo appears to be at the heart of what looks like a brutal, stylish, and fast-paced return to form for the franchise.

Interestingly, despite PlatinumGames taking over development duties, the game still features a variety of iconic and familiar attack animations that have long defined the Ninja Gaiden series. With a range of difficulty levels available, Ninja Gaiden 4 aims to cater to both seasoned veterans seeking an intense challenge and newcomers simply looking to enjoy its blood-soaked, action-packed gameplay.

With its legacy, high production values, and promising gameplay, Ninja Gaiden 4 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting action titles of 2025. The new entry is officially scheduled to launch on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In an added bonus for subscribers, the game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
