Gamescom Asia 2024 Returns in Oct With Capcom & Baldur’s Gate 3’s Andrew Wincott Leading the Way

Gaming fans have something fun to look forward to this coming October in Singapore. Gamescom Asia 2024 marks the fourth edition of the premier business and consumer event, happening from October 17 to 20. Headlining the event is the return of Japanese gaming giant Capcom, alongside other industry heavyweights like Shawn Layden and voice actor Andrew Wincott.

As per previous iterations, the show itself is split into the business and consumer portions. For the former, over 80 industry experts will be on hand to present at the conference over two days, covering the latest in gaming trends. Layden, who had a huge role to play in shaping the modern PlayStation brand as the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, will be conducting a fireside chat on insights and predictions about the industry as a whole.

Other speakers confirmed for the event include Amir Ghareaghadje (VP of Brand Marketing, CD Projekt Red), Jaeho Hwang (Game Director, MINTROCKET – NEXON), Louis Ang (Animation Lead, Riot Games Singapore), Justin Scarpone (EVP & Global Head of Transmedia, SEGA Japan), and more.

Consumers at Gamescom Asia 2024 can expect to get up close and personal with upcoming games, such as those from Capcom, retro titles, and board games. The stage will host several live performances, including the arrival of Wincott, who is recognisable for being the voice of Raphael in Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as J-pop singer-songwriter SHIHORI, who was recently featured on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang! ALLSTAR2024. For those into esports, the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier Singapore is not to be missed, especially for Street Fighter fans.

Alongside Capcom will be publisher 4Divinity, which showcased the exciting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl at last year’s show. Its lineup of 2024 releases includes JDM: Japanese Drift Master, which lets players explore and drift around Japan’s countryside, open-world construction and survival hybrid Terratech Worlds, an action-RPG with base building and tower defence mechanics called First Dwarf, and more S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 goodness. An expanded Indie Wavemaker area will also be available at Gamescom Asia 2024, giving indie developers the perfect platform to shine.

Registration is already open for both business and industry visitors. Consumers hoping to occupy themselves this October can also start purchasing tickets, with prices starting at S$19.
