Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Snatches a Release on Nintendo Switch

Potterheads hoping to get their fix of wizard sports on the Nintendo Switch have some good news to celebrate. Warner Bros. Games has officially launched Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions on Nintendo’s portable console, bringing the high-flying sport to yet another platform.

As part of Season 1, players can vie for plenty of collectibles in the form of skins, brooms, emotes, and more on new maps and in new events themed after the Defense Against the Dark Arts class:

  • Holiday-themed events, including Holidays at Hogwarts and the Yule Ball.
  • New Snowy Burrow map as part of the Holidays at Hogwarts event.
  • Three all-new brooms with unique upgrade tracks.
  • New hero skins for Bellatrix LeStrange, Severus Snape and more.
  • New emotes, cosmetics, wands and other items.

Alongside the release of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions on the Switch, players on all platforms will also be introduced to the Pro Quidditch Mode, which will make 6v6 PvP games online a reality. Now, you can put together your favourite crew and vie for glory against other teams hoping to do the same; just make sure everyone’s caught up on how to win.

If you haven’t had a chance to try the game out just yet, players can experience the sport as a Beater, Chaser, Keeper or Seeker. Battle it out in matches taking place in iconic wizarding world locations, such as the Weasley Burrow and the Quidditch World Cup stadium, as part of exhibition matches or the more involved Career Mode. Beloved characters, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Cho Chang and many more, are part of the fun, and you can always create your avatar to take to the air.

Nintendo Switch players can join the fun by purchasing the digital Standard Edition for US$29.99 or the physical and digital Deluxe Editions for US$39.99.
