Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Deep Dive Hints at Gameplay Treasures

With just about a month to go before we don the fedora and go exploring as the beloved explorer, Bethesda and MachineGames have shared a deeper look at the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, showcasing just all the fun things that players can get up to on December 9.

Naturally, everything you would expect out of a first-person adventure coming from this particular studio are present and accounted for. Stealth, combat, exploration, and of course, plenty of puzzles to get you on the way. It is exciting stuff, especially for fans, to be able literally be in the shoes of the fabled explorer, but it remains to be seen just how it all comes together.

At the very least, it will look and sound just like the movies many have watched and enjoyed over the years. The environments are full of details and look right at home, and the accompanying sounds should immerse you instantly whether you are at Marshall College or hoofing it about at any of the historical sites that the game brings us to. And Troy Baker’s voiceover work will have you wondering just whether Harrison Ford himself took over at some point.

The hope is that this level of polish and quality can be maintained throughout the entire adventure of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and we are particularly concerned about the plot that will drive everything along. Not that it will be anything bad, but just that we hope that it lives up to the other aspects of what we have seen so far, and punching Nazis is always fun, whether you are Indiana Jones or BJ Blazkowicz.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on December 9 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a Spring 2025 release set for PlayStation 5.
