Battle and Extract in Seekers of Skyveil Moba, Now in Steam Early Access

The multiplayer online battle arena genre has seen some changes in recent years, but nothing ever too significant to its base formula. That can point towards an established way of playing that does not need fixing, but that can also easily lead to fatigue. A new MOBA, Seekers of Skyveil, wants to change all that with its team-based MOBA extraction RPG experience focusing on PvP and PvE.

Developed by Elodie Games, Inc. the gameplay will see players in teams of three compete against enemy squads for the treasure dispersed all across the map by engaging in stealth mechanics or twin-stick shooting encounters. This includes encounters with either hostile NPCs or enemy players.

A complex roster of 12 heroes, or Seekers, has been assembled along with a prep system, where players can choose what gear to equip their hero with, paving the way for innumerable unique play styles to be hand-crafted by players.

The idea of risk and reward also plays a major role in the gameplay. Teams must decide whether to push forward in hopes of a bigger payout while risking their current stash or extracting early for minimal but guaranteed rewards. There are a variety of maps available for teams to clash in, and as players progress, they gain access to higher-skill maps that offer greater rewards and even greater danger. To increase variety in matches, the areas that make up these maps are randomly generated, ensuring each run is as unique as possible.

Since this is an Early Access title, there is much more content to come throughout the game’s lifecycle, as the developers have already announced plans to expand the roster of heroes. Alongside its release, Seekers of Skyveil has three different DLC packs available with more characters and cosmetics.
