Monster Hunter Stories & Sequel to Launch with Three Editions This June

It was just about a few months ago that Capcom first officially announced a remaster of Monster Hunter Stories as well as its sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, at a Nintendo Direct. While fans eagerly awaited a return to the turn-based roleplaying experience, Capcom has dropped new info about the various editions of the games coming on June 14.

Across the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam platforms, players can get their hands on the Standard Edition of Monster Hunter Stories digitally, or opt for the Monster Hunter Stories Collection, which bundles together both the first and second games. Physical collectors should note that this version is also available for the Nintendo Switch.

Lastly, there is also the Monster Hunter Stories Deluxe Collection, which has the two games, alongside additional content like the Rider’s Layered Armor, Ena and Navirou’s Outfits, Rider’s Hairstyle, and Sticker sets. Pre-ordering any of the editions will also net you the Navirou’s King and Queen Outfits at launch.

This remaster and the sequel invites hunters to embark on a journey into a colourful world where mighty monsters roam and people make a living by hunting them. Nestled within this land lies a hidden village where the locals follow a different set of customs. Here, Monster Riders form bonds with Monsties instead of hunting them. Unlike Hunters, Riders forge bonds and harness the power of kinships stones, allowing them to explore the vast and exhilarating realm together. Fight together in thrilling battles, hatch Monstie eggs, and customize your companion to suit your style.

The remaster will include refined graphics, full Japanese and English voiceovers, a Museum Mode featuring a collection of background music and developer sketches, and additional language support for Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Brazilian, Portuguese, Polish, and Arabic. Previous title updates exclusively available to Japan will also be accessible, meaning you can look forward to unlocking content from Title Update 1.20 and Title Update 1.30, and hunt down the monsters Teostra, Kushala Daora, and Rajang.
