As IPs get more and more fleshed out, there comes the possibility of spin-offs that can potentially cater to fans’ wants and needs, and Nexon and Neople are definitely scratching an itch with The First Berserker: Khazan. The new action roleplaying title comes from the world of Dungeon & Fighter, and will explore the backstory of the titular Berserker, Khazan.
Slated for release on March 27, 2025 on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as announced at The Game Awards 2024, the studio is also planning a demo that will release on January 16. This will be the first taste of the dark, gritty action that will form the basis of the adventure. Any progress that you make during this demo will also be brought to the full game.
Since its reveal at The Game Awards 2023, the distinct art style and the more deliberate Soulslike experience have stood out, prompting fans of both the DNF world and newcomers alike to take note of the spin-off. As Khazan, the great general of the Pell Los Empire who overcame death, players will unveil the incidents that led to his downfall and seek vengeance on his enemies
In addition to the release date and the upcoming demo, Neople has also provided the details about pre-order bonuses for The First Berserker: Khazan. Pre-ordering the Standard edition either physically or digitally will grant players the Fallen Star Armour Set.
The set reflects Khazan’s appearance during his exile to the snowy mountains after being falsely accused of treason. It can be used cosmetically. Additionally, this set may be upgraded and/or have its options adjusted, allowing for continued usage. Opting for the digital-only Deluxe Edition will add the Hero Armour and Weapon Sets, a digital artbook, the game’s soundtrack, as well as 72-hour early access.
The First Berserker: Khazan will launch on March 27, 2025, on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
