New Soulslike Enotria: the Last Song Infuses Italian Flair in Genre

If there is one genre that has been consistently refreshed with new entries in modern gaming, the Soulslike is where all the action is at. With the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC arriving for Elden Ring later this week, hungry fans may want to check out Enotria: The Last Song instead.

Developed by emerging Italian studio Jyamma Games with the help of SEGA, the action RPG is inspired by Italian folklore and culture, transporting players to the sun-kissed lands of Enotria. Of course, underneath the facade of vibrance and calm lies dark secrets, and players will be on hand to discover just what those entail.

This is a world gripped by the Canovaccio—a twisted eternal play that keeps the world in unnatural stasis. Enotria: The Last Song draws inspiration from commedia dell’arte, an early Italian form of improvisational theatre. Throughout its story, you’ll encounter famous character archetypes that appear in such plays. Additionally, every painting, weapon, outfit, or area can be traced back to a real-world equivalent in Italy.

As a Maskless One, players are the only ones free from a given role and the master of their destiny. To save the world, the only way is to harness the power of Adore and defeat the mighty Authors who are behind the Canovaccio.

The power of Ardore allows players to dynamically alter reality. Swap strategically between
environmental states to solve puzzles, reveal secrets, traverse a decaying world and gain a
strategic edge in battles using Ardore.

Ahead of its September 19 launch, players can step into the never-ending play with the demo version of Enotria: The Last Song, which is now available on the PlayStation Store and Steam.
