Playstation Kicks off Days of Play Celebration on May 29

As another year approaches the halfway mark, the PlayStation Nation can look forward to more months of gaming fun. On May 29, Sony PlayStation will officially kick off Days of Play 2024, with excellent offers on hardware and games, new content offerings, and more challenges to whet the appetite.

Having started seven long years ago, the gaming giant continues to give its community more reason to stay within the ecosystem. The Days of Play celebration starts on May 29 at 12:01 AM and ends on June 12 at 11:59 PM local time in each region.

The month of June will welcome three more new games to the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games Lineup, which are:

  • SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake
  • AEW Fight Forever
  • Tropico 5

In addition, this month’s EA Sports FC 24 will remain available until June 17 as well. On June 3, all PlayStation Plus members will also be able to download a Roblox Pack that includes an avatar for Felix Freezebeard the Yeti during Days of Play.

Bonus Titles

Ahead of the normal release schedule, players can enjoy new additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, PS VR2 bonus games and a Game Trial.

Community Challenges

Sony is introducing three exciting new challenges. In these challenges, PlayStation players will work together to reach community goals and unlock exclusive PlayStation Stars rewards. PlayStation Plus members will also receive a unique reward for participating.

PlayStation Stars Campaigns

Special PlayStation Stars Campaigns will also be held during Days of Play, with brand new Digital Collectibles to add to the collection. PlayStation Plus members will also have additional campaigns focused on the games available through PlayStation Plus during Days of Play, such as Dredge and EA Sports FC 24.

Esports Tournament for PlayStation Plus Members

For PlayStation Plus members, there will be a brand new event from PlayStation Tournaments: the Days of Play Cup for EA Sports FC 24.

The fun starts with qualifiers — available from June 1 to June 9. Qualifier participants will earn a PlayStation Stars EA Sports FC 24 Digital Collectible and an in-game PlayStation FC 24 kit just for joining. Winners will score a one-month PlayStation Plus Deluxe voucher code, and an invite to join Playoffs. From there, the top 16 Playoff finishers will win FC Points or a share of $1500 in cash prizes. 

PlayStation Offers

All of the fun is complemented by promotions and discounts that players can take advantage of at local retailers in the region, which will include PlayStation 5 consoles, the PS VR2 device, DualSense controllers, and physical versions of selected games.

Between May 29 and June 12, new players who join PlayStation Plus can save up to 30% on a 12-month membership plan. As for current members, you can get 25% off PlayStation Plus Extra, or save 30% off PlayStation Plus Deluxe for the remainder of your membership when you upgrade the memberships between May 29 to June 12.

Plenty of discounts will also be present in the digital storefront, with two weeks of incredible offers on hundreds of compelling digital games, including several 24-hour flash sales on the PlayStation Store.
