The year is still young, but Sony PlayStation is ready to unleash a torrent of new announcements and reveals as part of its latest State of Play presentation in February. From Housemarque’s next big game, release dates for big hitters, and surprise titles, this was a good show for those invested in the ecosystem.
If you have not had the chance to catch the showcase just yet, fret not. Here’s a recap of everything that was shown off at State of Play earlier.
Saros
Housemarque is back after the success of Returnal, and this time, there’s plenty of star power with Rahul Kohli taking on the role of Arjun Devraj, a “powerful Soltari Enforcer searching for answers on a lost off-world colony” in Saros. It may resemble a sequel to Returnal, but the game will feature “permanent progression systems,” and “every death reshapes the world while offering new upgrades to overcome challenges.” The game arrives in 2026.

It’s official, Borderlands 4 will be coming on September 23, packing even more new movement abilities, devastating action skills, and killer loot that awaits players on the dangerous new planet Kairos. Musashi has been depicted in numerous forms throughout time, but Capcom will be putting their spin on the legendary swordsman, with special finishing moves, environmental interactions, and even more threatening enemies like the hulking Byakue to face.

Every chamber is unique in what it does, and every step brings players closer to unravelling the mystery.

Are you prepared for another FNAF title? Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic will see players face off against an animatronic that can mimic other characters, so you can never be sure how safe you are. Good times, indeed.
Dreams of Another
This is a name that hasn’t appeared in a while. The new PixelJunk game is Dreams of Another, a third-person exploration-action game built around the theme, “There is no creation without destruction.” Rather than destroying objects by shooting—as in traditional shooting games—here, your shots materialise and rebuild the world.
This unconventional mechanic offers a gameplay experience that challenges the genre’s norms and invites players into a whole new dimension. Uncover the thoughts, emotions, and secrets, piecing together the mysteries of this dreamlike world and navigate the liminal space between dreams and reality.
