Newly Revealed Sonic Rumble is a Mobile Battle Royale Party Experience

Sonic Rumble

The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has always been a recognisable one, with plenty of memorable games and even a growing movie lineup to help its reach. Now, SEGA is pushing the blue blur in another direction with the reveal of Sonic Rumble, which will launch sometime this winter.

Entering a twisted toy world created by the notorious Dr. Eggman, players will be taking control of their favourite Sonic characters, albeit in the form of toy figures, to compete in 32-player battle royale challenges. Prove your mettle as the fastest in the toybox to come out on top, and stand out from the crowd with the customisation options available to create unique avatars.

While the battle royale formula is no longer something foreign to the gaming space, it remains to be seen just how it will function with the help of some Sonic magic. This being the first multiplayer action game for up to 32 players, the party atmosphere will be something to look forward to. Interested players can apply to be part of the beta testing of the game via the official website.
