ASUS Announces Availability of Ascent GX10, a Personal AI Supercomputer Powered by NVIDIA

ASUS Ascent GX10 Brings Petaflop Power to the Desktop

A Personal Supercomputer for the AI Generation

ASUS has officially announced the Ascent GX10, a compact personal AI supercomputer designed to bring large-scale computing power to individual developers and research labs. Launching on October 15, the Ascent GX10 is powered by NVIDIA’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, capable of delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI performance — all within a desktop-sized chassis.

The Ascent GX10 aims to make AI development, model training, and inference accessible to creators, engineers, and data scientists who don’t have access to large-scale data centre infrastructure.

“As we nurture accounts, we will support customers on their AI journey to expand their footprint across the NVIDIA ecosystem.”

– Jackie Hsu, Senior Vice President and Co-Head of ASUS’s Open Platform & AIoT Business Groups.

Compact, Scalable, and Ready for AI Research

Despite its small footprint — measuring just 150 x 150 x 51 mm — the Ascent GX10 is built for serious computation. The Grace Blackwell Superchip combines a 20-core ARM-based CPU with an integrated Blackwell GPU, supported by 128GB of unified memory, enabling users to train models with up to 200 billion parameters directly on their desktops.

For those who need even more power, two GX10 units can be connected via NVIDIA ConnectX-7 networking, effectively doubling AI performance to 2 petaflops and expanding memory to 256GB.

This setup is further accelerated by the NVIDIA AI Software Stack, offering developers a full suite of tools for robotics, computer vision, and vision-language model development — ensuring smooth deployment from prototype to production.

Engineered for Efficiency and Cooling

ASUS has also placed strong emphasis on thermal efficiency, designing the Ascent GX10 to handle continuous high-performance workloads without throttling. The system includes five heat pipes, dual 140mm fans, and a seven-level fan control system, offering 1.6x better thermal coverage than similar compact systems.

This design ensures sustained performance under heavy AI workloads while maintaining the low noise levels expected from a desktop workstation.

Storage and Flexibility

The GX10 comes in three configurations to suit varying workloads:

  • 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for newcomers and lightweight AI tasks
  • 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for researchers managing multiple models
  • 4TB PCIe 5.0 SSD for professionals working on large-scale datasets and concurrent projects

Enterprise-level security features are included, allowing sensitive data to remain local — a growing priority for research institutions and AI-driven startups working with confidential datasets.

Availability

With the GX10, ASUS joins a growing list of manufacturers pushing toward personal AI infrastructure, offering a glimpse into a future where supercomputing no longer belongs solely to data centres — but to desktops.

The ASUS Ascent GX10 will be available through authorised ASUS partners and retailers starting October 15.
