It has been a long time since video game skateboarding has been a common sight in the medium, with the beloved Skate. series on hiatus since 2010. And while we last heard of a sequel being in the works in 2020’s EA Play, there hasn’t been a big reveal since. That has now changed, as Full Circle and EA have announced that the renamed Skate. will be launching in Early Access in 2025.

That is still a vague window, but at least there is a more concrete target to aim for as fans get themselves excited to hit the streets once more. It also helps that Full Circle has been keeping players up to date with various updates via their official blog, with chats with developers, story recaps, and the more to paint a fuller picture of Skate. and the future.

Furthermore, while PC players have been testing out the PC version of the game over the last two years, the team also shared that San Vansterdam will soon open up its doors to console playtesters in the Fall of 2024.
