Xbox Games Showcase: Choose to Play as a Ghoul in Fallout 76 Skyline Valley Update

Xbox Games Showcase Ghoul Fallout 76 Skyline Valley Update

The world of Fallout doesn’t just exist on television, even if the popularity of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation has resulted in plenty of new interest. In fact, without the games, many wouldn’t have discovered the magic of the Western roleplaying experience. At least, that’s the case for the mainline Fallout games, but for the more online-focused Fallout 76, it has been quite a journey of redemption.

Now, at the Xbox Games Showcase, more content will come players’ way with the upcoming Skyline Valley update, including the ridiculously crazy idea of playing as a Ghoul in the nuclear wasteland. Then again, that sounds just about right for the series.

A new Expedition that takes place in the southern region of Appalachia, Skyline Valley will transport players to somewhere between the Ash Heap and the Cranberry Bog in Fallout 76. The skies certainly do not look anything close to okay in the trailer, and chances are, we are going to find out exactly why that electric storm is brewing up top. There is also a new and dangerous Ghoul type to watch out for in The Lost.

As for your pending journey of becoming a Ghoul, that will become an option upon hitting level 50, with a special quest kicking off to give players the choice. Doing so will likely bring unique benefits, such as being resistant to radiation or even becoming more powerful, and there will be more perk cards that will let you truly live out the life of an irradiated being. Joining this new race will also make for some interesting interactions with the factions found in Fallout 76, so you have been warned.

The best part is that the Skyline Valley update will be free for all players and will be available in the game on June 12.
