Plaud Expands Its AI Note-Taking Ecosystem With Plaud Desktop
Plaud has officially launched Plaud Desktop in Singapore, extending its AI-powered note-taking platform beyond physical conversations and phone calls into online meetings. The move establishes Plaud as one of the few AI productivity solutions designed to capture conversations seamlessly across in-person, phone, and digital meeting environments without relying on intrusive meeting bots.
The launch reflects the growing shift towards hybrid and distributed work across Asia-Pacific, where professionals increasingly move between physical meetings and platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
Bot-Free Meeting Capture Designed for Hybrid Work
Unlike many AI meeting tools that rely on in-call bots, Plaud Desktop captures meetings natively through system audio and microphone activity. The software detects when an online meeting begins and allows users to enable recording manually, keeping control firmly in their hands.
Plaud Desktop supports major platforms, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other online calling services, consolidating meeting insights into a single workflow synced with the Plaud App and Plaud Web. By avoiding bots entirely, Plaud aims to reduce friction, privacy concerns, and workflow disruption for professionals.

Consent-First Design and Multimodal Intelligence
The company emphasises that Plaud Desktop follows the same consent-first philosophy as its hardware products, like the Note Pro. Meetings are not automatically recorded unless explicitly enabled, aligning with privacy expectations in Singapore and across the region.
Beyond audio capture, Plaud Desktop supports multimodal inputs including real-time notes, highlights, screenshots, and text annotations. These layers are processed through Plaud Intelligence, transforming fragmented meeting content into structured, actionable insights.
Bridging In-Person and Online Conversations
The key differentiator of Plaud Desktop is its ability to unify in-person and online conversations into a continuous record of work. This allows professionals to move between physical meetings, phone calls, and virtual discussions without losing context or insight.
“What sets Plaud apart is our design to work seamlessly across all scenarios — in person, over the phone, or on screen. That’s how intelligence naturally flows. Our mission is to amplify human intelligence, and Plaud Desktop is a key step in delivering that promise for professionals globally, including across Asia-Pacific,” said Nathan Xu, Co-founder and CEO of Plaud.
Plaud Desktop is available now via Plaud Web and is offered at no additional cost to users who already own a Plaud AI note-taking device, including Plaud Note, Plaud Note Pro, or Plaud NotePin. While the device does not need to be connected during use, initial device binding through the Plaud App is required before access is granted.
