Arc System Works Takes Over Guilty Gear Strive Publishing in EMEA and Asia
Arc System Works has officially secured the publishing rights for Guilty Gear Strive across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, ending its previous regional partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The transition marks a significant shift in the fighting game’s global publishing structure, with Arc System Works now directly overseeing operations in territories previously managed by Bandai Namco.
Full Control Over Sales and Marketing
With the transfer complete, Arc System Works will now handle sales, distribution, marketing activities and regional promotions in the affected markets.
Prior to this change, the developer had already self-published Guilty Gear Strive in the Americas, Japan and South Korea. The latest move effectively consolidates Arc System Works’ publishing responsibilities across nearly all major territories.

No Disruption for Players
Arc System Works has confirmed that the publishing transition will not affect players in EMEA or Asia. Existing accounts will remain intact and online functionality will continue without interruption.
Guilty Gear Strive remains available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
No Official Explanation
Neither Arc System Works nor Bandai Namco has provided further details regarding the reason behind the change. Arc System Works did express appreciation for Bandai Namco’s past support in distributing and promoting the title across EMEA and Asian markets.
While largely administrative, the move suggests Arc System Works’ growing ambition to centralise its global publishing strategy and exercise greater direct control over one of its flagship franchises.
