Sony Brings INZONE H6 Air to Singapore in May 2026
Sony is expanding its INZONE gaming gear line-up in Singapore with the INZONE H6 Air, an open-back wired headset arriving in May 2026. This is Sony leaning into a more specialist audio direction, using an open-back acoustic design to deliver a wider, more natural sound field than typical closed-back gaming headsets.
For players who prioritise positional audio, atmosphere, and long-session comfort, the INZONE H6 Air offers a more “studio-like” listening experience, specifically adapted for gaming.
Open-Back Design Aims for a More Natural Soundstage
The INZONE H6 Air features an open-back design that reduces internal reflections by leaving the housing unobstructed. In practical terms, Sony is aiming for more accurate sound-field reproduction, closer to how audio is authored in production rather than how it is typically compressed in closed cups.
Sony is also using precision-tuned driver units based on the same underlying technology found in its MDR-MV1 open-back studio monitor headphones, adapted for the INZONE H6 Air. Back ducts integrated into the driver unit are designed to deliver deeper, more controlled bass while keeping mid and low frequencies clearly separated, a tuning approach that typically benefits games with dense soundscapes.

A 199g Build Targets Long Play Sessions
Sony says the H6 Air weighs 199g without the detachable microphone and cable, making it its lightest gaming headset. It also uses the same spring hinge headband design seen in the INZONE H9 II, intended to maintain stability without pushing clamping force too far.
The pitch is simple: less weight, less fatigue, and a fit designed for hours, not bursts.
PlayStation Studio Audio Profiles and Spatial Features via INZONE Hub
For users who want software tuning, the INZONE H6 Air supports an “RPG/Adventure” equaliser profile created with sound designers from PlayStation Studios. Sony frames this as audio processing tailored for RPG and adventure titles that recreates a more studio-like acoustic experience.
Access to these settings runs through the INZONE Hub when connected via the USB-C Audio Box. That setup also enables virtual 7.1 channel surround sound and 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming.
The headset includes an adjustable cardioid boom mic that focuses on the user’s voice while reducing side noise. Sony is emphasising a natural voice profile and a flexible arm that holds its position once set.
Other INZONE Additions Coming in June

Sony also confirmed additional INZONE updates for Singapore in June 2026, including Fnatic Edition variants of the INZONE Mouse-A, INZONE Mat-F, and INZONE Mat-D, as well as a new translucent Glass Purple colour option for the INZONE Buds.
