Sony BRAVIA True RGB TVs Singapore Launch Expands The Home Cinema Push

Sony Singapore has introduced its new BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II televisions, marking the arrival of its first True RGB BRAVIA TVs in Singapore. The lineup is joined by the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a premium wireless home audio system designed to support large-screen cinematic viewing.

The main technology story here is Sony’s RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. Instead of relying on a conventional backlight structure, the system independently controls red, green, and blue light sources. According to the brand, this allows the new Sony BRAVIA True RGB models to deliver the largest colour volume in the company’s home TV history.

For viewers, the practical promise is clearer colour, stronger brightness, reduced blooming, and more consistent picture quality in bright living rooms. In Singapore, where many homes are not built around dark theatre-style viewing spaces, this will be a game-changer.

BRAVIA 9 II Leads With A 115 Inch Flagship Option

The Sony BRAVIA 9 II sits at the top of the new lineup, with screen sizes going up to a 115-inch class model. It is aimed at buyers who want a genuinely large format living room display, rather than a modest upgrade from an older television.

The flagship model also adds Immersive Black Screen Pro on selected sizes, a screen treatment designed to reduce glare and reflections while maintaining deeper blacks. Sony Pictures Entertainment was involved in evaluating the surface film, which ties into Sony’s broader message about preserving filmmaker intent in home viewing conditions.

The BRAVIA 7 II covers a wider size range from 50 to 98 inches, making the True RGB technology available across more conventional living room setups. Both models also support features such as Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, Studio Calibrated modes for selected streaming platforms, and room-based picture and audio adjustment.

Theatre Trio Builds Around Spacious Movie Audio

Alongside the televisions, Sony is also launching the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a three-speaker wireless theatre system designed for ultra-large screens. The system uses front left, right, and centre speakers to create a wider soundstage while keeping dialogue clear.

Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping can generate up to 24 phantom speakers, creating the impression of a larger surround setup without requiring the same number of physical speakers around the room. The system also supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced for compatible content.

The Theatre Trio can be expanded with optional rear speakers and subwoofers, including dual subwoofer setups. Sony is also introducing Direct Connect, which allows compatible TVs to pair directly with optional wireless rear speakers and subwoofers without needing a soundbar.

Singapore Pricing And Availability Start From June

The Sony BRAVIA 7 II begins rolling out in Singapore from June, with prices starting at SG$3,499 for the 50-inch model and rising to SG$13,999 for the 98-inch model. The BRAVIA 9 II arrives from July for most models, starting at SG$7,099 for the 65-inch version and reaching SG$12,499 for the 85-inch model. The 115-inch flagship is priced at SG$32,999 and is expected in September.

The BRAVIA Theatre Trio launches in June at SG$3,499, with a promotional price of S$3,049 and a free SA-SW5 subwoofer during the launch period. Selected television models will also include launch promotions, ranging from bundled audio products to a De’Longhi coffee machine.

For buyers building a premium console, movie, and streaming setup, Sony’s new lineup is clearly targeting the high end of the living room market. The bigger question will be how much True RGB changes the everyday viewing experience once the TVs are tested in real homes, not just controlled demonstrations.
