Mintrocket Dave the Diver Updates Lead a Packed Dev Dive Showcase

Mintrocket has shared a new Dev Dive showcase, giving players a wide look at what is next for Dave the Diver and the studio’s growing lineup.

The Seoul-based developer covered several major updates during the presentation, including a fresh look at Dave the Diver: In the Jungle, more details on Bancho the Chef, the mobile launch window for Dave the Diver, and the reveal of Godzilla Defence Force: X.

The showcase also arrived as Dave the Diver approaches its third anniversary, with Mintrocket clearly treating 2026 as a year to expand the series beyond its original fishing, diving, and sushi restaurant loop.

Bancho the Chef Expands the Dave the Diver Universe

Following its reveal during State of Play on June 2, Bancho the Chef received a deeper spotlight during the Dev Dive. The standalone cooking RPG follows Bancho during his earlier years, before he became the sushi master players know from Dave the Diver.

His journey will take him across different regions of Asia as he learns from master chefs, develops his culinary skills, and builds the foundation for the character fans eventually meet at Bancho Sushi.

Mintrocket also highlighted how Bancho the Chef will use PlayStation 5’s DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers. The studio wants players to feel the physicality of cooking through the controller, from handling ingredients to performing precise movements in the kitchen.

In the Jungle DLC Launches on June 18

Dave the Diver: In the Jungle remains the studio’s biggest immediate release, launching on June 18. The expansion adds around 10 hours of content, along with a new biome, fresh systems, additional skills, minigames, and more to explore.

Mintrocket also confirmed that the DLC will include several in-game collaborations, including Cut the Rope, which appeared in the recent PC Gaming Show launch trailer. Steam pre-orders for In the Jungle are now live with a 10% discount ahead of launch. Players who haven’t picked up the base game can also get Dave the Diver at 50% off on Steam.

Dave the Diver Gets a Short Film and Fortnite Collaboration

Mintrocket is also turning the In the Jungle launch into something bigger than a standard DLC release. A short film produced by The Asylum, the studio known for films such as Sharknado, will premiere through IGN on June 17 before releasing globally on June 18 alongside the DLC.

The studio also shared more details on the upcoming Fortnite collaboration. Players who purchase Dave the Diver or the Dave the Diver: In the Jungle Content Pack on Epic Games Store will receive the Dave the Diver Outfit and Dave’s Oxygen Tank Backbling in Fortnite.

Godzilla Defense Force: X Revealed for Mobile

Mintrocket also unveiled Godzilla Defense Force: X, a new mobile strategy management game led by CEO Jaeho Hwang. The game builds on the earlier Godzilla Defense Force, which was released seven years ago and reached more than 10 million players. This new entry is being built from the ground up with full studio support and covers 70 years of Godzilla history.

Players will defend cities around the world from kaiju using bases, weapons, and strategy management systems. They will also be able to battle, summon, and fight alongside various kaiju from across the franchise.

Godzilla Defense Force: X will begin closed testing later this year and is expected to launch in early 2027.

Dave the Diver Heads to iOS and Android in August

Mintrocket also confirmed that Dave the Diver is coming to mobile platforms in August. The game will launch on the App Store and Google Play following its release in China, giving more players a chance to dive, fish, explore, and serve sushi from mobile devices. Pre-registration details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Alongside the game announcements, Mintrocket also revealed new Dave the Diver merchandise, including items from Fangamer, Madrinas, and the Dave the Diver Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
