Kingdom Hearts IV Star Wars World Appears in Steam Achievement Leak

Square Enix has finally started revealing more about Kingdom Hearts IV, but Steam may have just spoiled several announcements the publisher was saving for later.

A large amount of private achievement data for unreleased games became publicly accessible through Steam’s API this week, allowing tracking services including Exophase to pull information that seemingly was not meant to be visible yet.

Kingdom Hearts IV was among the affected games, with 50 achievements appearing online and potentially exposing several worlds, gameplay systems, and story developments well ahead of its planned 2027 release. Square Enix has not commented on the leak, so treat anything beyond already announced content as unconfirmed.

SPOILERS FOR THE KINGDOM HEARTS IV ACHIEVEMENTS AHEAD

A Galaxy Far, Far Away Strongly Points to Star Wars

The biggest discovery concerns a location called “Galaxy Far, Far Away”. One achievement, Desert Do-Gooder, asks players to complete every request in that location. Another story-related achievement is titled May the Light Be with You, making the Star Wars connection rather difficult to ignore.

Fans have suspected Star Wars could appear in Kingdom Hearts IV ever since its original reveal trailer appeared to contain what looked like part of an AT-ST. The leaked achievement data provides much stronger evidence, although Disney and Square Enix have still not officially announced the crossover.

Zootopia, Toy Story and Haunted Mansion Also Appear

The leak seemingly goes far beyond one galaxy. Savanna Central appears alongside an achievement for completing all requests there, strongly suggesting a Zootopia-based world. Toy Box, the Toy Story world introduced in Kingdom Hearts III, is also listed as returning.

Another achievement explicitly names Haunted Mansion, although it remains unclear whether this is based primarily on the famous Disney attraction, one of its film adaptations, or a mixture of both.

The already confirmed Coco world appears as Land of the Dead, while Quadratum and Scala ad Caelum are also referenced throughout the achievement list. The Underworld is already acknowledged on the game’s official Steam page, where Donald and Goofy are described as travelling there while searching for Sora.

Monochrome Origins and Imagineer Planet Remain Mysteries

Two other names are considerably harder to decipher. Monochrome Origins has its own set of requests, with the name naturally leading to speculation about Disney’s early black-and-white animation and Mickey Mouse. That connection remains entirely speculative for now.

Even stranger is Imagineer Planet. Achievements reference completing missions and multiple “Test Planets” there, while another task involves completing something called the “Back to the Beginning” Gummi route. The terminology immediately evokes Disney Imagineering, but the location’s actual nature remains unclear.

The list also includes a Hundred Acre Conductor achievement, potentially signalling another return for Winnie the Pooh’s 100 Acre Wood. Its English description is currently hidden, making that connection less explicit than the other leaked worlds. Following the recent confirmation of Coco joining Kingdom Hearts IV, Square Enix presumably had plenty more world reveals planned. Steam may have just made some of those surprises considerably harder to keep.

Kingdom Hearts IV launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
