Trivia Murder Party 3 Early Access Begins With a Standalone First
One of Jackbox’s most popular recurring games has finally escaped the Party Pack, with Jackbox Games launching Trivia Murder Party 3 into Early Access today. Available on Steam and the Epic Games Store for US$14.99, the sequel marks the first time Trivia Murder Party has been released as a standalone game rather than as part of a larger Jackbox collection.
That extra breathing room also comes with a major addition: online matchmaking. Players can now jump into games alone and find others online, alongside the familiar option of gathering friends locally or remotely, with support for up to eight participants.
Camp Mass Acres Gives Trivia Murder Party a New Killing Ground
This time, the murderous trivia contest moves to Camp Mass Acres, where the summer camp experience involves considerably more death than arts and crafts.
Players answer questions covering everything from mundane knowledge to increasingly ridiculous niche subjects, with failure once again leading into deadly minigames. Being eliminated does not necessarily mean sitting around waiting either, as dead campers can still interfere with the survivors and potentially turn the tables before anyone escapes.
The sequel also adds cosmetic accessories for campers, giving players an opportunity to personalise their unfortunate contestant before inevitably meeting some elaborate demise. At its core, though, the familiar structure remains intact. Trivia knowledge helps, but survival also depends on navigating minigames and finding opportunities to send everyone else to their deaths first.
Full Trivia Murder Party 3 Release Comes to Consoles in 2027
The current release remains in Early Access, and Jackbox plans to continue development before Trivia Murder Party 3 reaches 1.0 next year.

That full launch will expand the game beyond PC to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Jackbox had previously confirmed the standalone release and 2027 console plans ahead of today’s Early Access debut.
The launch also comes less than a month before The Jackbox Party Pack 12 arrives on October 15, giving Jackbox fans two very different releases in quick succession.
Trivia Murder Party 3 is available now in Early Access through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
