Monster Hunter Rise Netflix Mobile Version Appears on iOS and Android
Capcom appears to have another Monster Hunter mobile release up its sleeve, and this one is considerably more familiar. Store listings for Monster Hunter Rise have appeared on iOS and Android under the name MONSTER HUNTER RISE NETFLIX, revealing a mobile version of Capcom’s 2021 action RPG available through Netflix Games.
Unlike the upcoming Monster Hunter Outlanders, this is not a new spin-off built specifically around mobile. The listings describe the familiar experience, complete with Kamura Village, Wirebugs, Buddies, equipment crafting and online hunts for up to four players.
The discovery comes at a particularly fitting time, with Monster Hunter Rise having just surpassed 20 million copies sold worldwide across its existing platforms.
Monster Hunter Rise Gets New Mobile Controls
This is not simply the existing game dropped onto a touchscreen unchanged. According to the Google Play listing, Capcom has rebuilt the controls around smartphones and tablets, including unique touchscreen layouts for the game’s different weapon types. Google Play
There is also a new Recovery Button, which automatically selects an appropriate recovery item based on the hunter’s current health and status. Challenge and Event Quests that were previously distributed as paid or temporary downloadable content can also be unlocked through progression in the mobile version.
The Philippines App Store listing additionally confirms controller support for iPhone and iPad. As with other Netflix Games releases, an active Netflix membership is required to play.

Appears to Be in Soft Launch
What remains unclear is when everyone else gets access. Neither Capcom nor Netflix has formally announced a worldwide release date, with the mobile edition currently appearing only in selected regions. The Philippines listings are already live, while reports indicate Malaysia is also included in the current rollout.
That points towards a soft launch rather than a full global release, presumably giving Netflix and Capcom time to test how Monster Hunter Rise handles on mobile hardware before expanding availability.
It also means Capcom could soon have two very different Monster Hunter experiences competing for space on phones. Monster Hunter Outlanders launches on October 29, while Monster Hunter Rise now offers mobile players the full Kamura Village experience through Netflix.
For now, though, there is no confirmed date for when the hunt expands beyond its current regions.
