For fans of the first-person shooter genre, it doesn’t necessarily always have to be about modern battlefields or the darkest of operations. There is also room for hilarious madness, and when it comes to that, perhaps no one does it quite as well as Squanch Games. Making a surprise appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase, we got a first look at High on Life 2.
Following on from the crazy adventures of the first game, the sequel will once again see players team up with a rag-tag team of colourful characters and shoot things up once more. If you didn’t get enough of the likes of Gus, Sweezy, Creature and Knifey, then you are in for a treat.
With the space cartel no longer in the picture, that leaves a vacuum for a new villain. With a bounty set on your sister’s head, it is time again to risk it all and punish the evil pharmaceutical conglomerate behind it all.
As the trailer showcases, expect to wield new weapons and capabilities to freshen up the combat and exploration. Even the skateboarding returns, so expect the intense shooting action to be paired with shredding speed.

High on Life 2 will release this Winter on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC The shooter will also appear on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
