Alien Rogue Incursion Story Detailed As December Release Looms

While we have known for some time now that 20th Century Games and SurviosAlien: Rogue Incursion will be in the hands of VR players this coming December 19, the accompanying tale remained a mystery. That is, until now, with a new story trailer that gives us more context for the main character, Zula, and her attempt to survive LV-354.

As the description reads:

When ex-Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks receives an SOS from former squadmate Benjamin Carver, she and Davis 01 head to the remote planet Purdan to investigate. Before they know it, deeply personal stakes emerge to plunge both Zula and Davis deeper into the dark heart of Purdan to expose – and escape – the deadly horrors lurking within.

Chief product officer TQ Jefferson was also on hand to shed more light on the game and the trailer, saying that “one of our early creative decisions was that whatever happened on Purdan had already happened. Zula is stepping into the aftermath of some event that has left Castor’s Cradle – the research facility – infested with horrifying Xenomorphs. Picking up the story after the facility has been compromised allows us to jump right into the suspense and action.”

The trailer follows the three-act structure, giving us the mystery that needs to be unravelled, the stakes at hand when the Xenomorph outbreak is discovered, and finally, the reveal of the enemy.

“We’ve established by this point that danger is truly everywhere, and now we want to show players that you have the means to fight back. Armed with your weapons (M41 Prototype Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, Revolver, and Tacticals), Gear (Motion Tracker, Plasma Torch, Health Stims, Tablet), and Davis 01 at your side, you get to take the fight to them – experiencing the world of Alien like you never have before,” added Jefferson.

Alien: Rogue Incursion will be launching on PlayStation VR2 and PCVR via Steam on December 19, followed by Meta platforms in early 2025.
