Devil May Cry Anime Set for Early April 2025

the Devil May Cry Animated Series from Netflix is Set to Premiere in Early April 2025.

When it comes to content offerings, the variety that Netflix offers as a platform is quite staggering. From films and series with established Hollywood stars to anime and dramas set to be the next big thing, it is no wonder that video game adaptations have also found a steady home here. The success of the likes of Castlevania and Arcane is well known, and now, there is a chance for them to be joined by the new Devil May Cry adaptation as well.

Handled directly by the skilled hands of Adi Shankar, the mastermind behind Netflix’s Castlevania animated series, the Devil May Cry anime has dropped its opening credits, which definitely fits into the overall style of the games. Featuring Limp Bizkit’s Rollin, we get to see plenty of elements that are familiar to fans of the IP. Dante and his various weapons, the variety of demons and monsters that stand in his way, and the bold use of colours should be something to look out for.

More importantly, there is also the release date of April 3 being revealed, with the series set to run for eight episodes. It is being produced by Studio Mir and with Devil May Cry game voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch as the voice of Dante.

While it has plenty of source material to work with, the details of the story of the Devil May Cry anime are still unclear. It is likely to star a Dante, who is still relatively young in his demon-hunting game, which paves the way for the latter events that are explored in the games.

“Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck,” the description for the show reads.

Devil May Cry brings the style to Netflix on April 3.
