Agni: Village of Calamity Teases More Supernatural Combat

Indonesian survival horror Separuh Interactive’s Agni: Village of Calamity has resurfaced with another glimpse at its increasingly unpleasant trip into Desa Purba.

The latest footage accompanies Blood and Bones, a new original track by A.Crow, released through Wired Productions’ Black Razor Records label. It debuted at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, paired with a short burst of new gameplay and supernatural horror.

This is only a teaser for something larger. The complete track arrives on October 29, alongside a brand-new Agni: Village of Calamity gameplay trailer during gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026.

Expanding Agni’s Supernatural Arsenal

The new Blood and Bones teaser runs about a minute but packs a surprising amount. The teaser shows more grotesque creatures, flashes of brutal combat, and another appearance by Indonesian filmmaker Joko Anwar, who has already been confirmed as the model and voice behind The Headman, a character who assists Agni during her investigation.

His involvement isn’t new. More interesting is a brief combat sequence that appears to show Agni unleashing a forceful supernatural blast from her hand, pushing enemies backwards. Separuh Interactive has not yet detailed exactly how the ability functions, so whether it represents a broader power system or something more situational remains unclear.

It adds another wrinkle to a survival horror game otherwise built around limited resources, firearms and deciding whether an encounter is worth fighting at all. Wired says ammunition and supplies are deliberately scarce, and every bullet is meant to carry weight.

Desa Purba Is Getting Increasingly Unpleasant

Agni: Village of Calamity follows Agni, an investigator from a secret agency who disobeys orders and enters the forbidden Indonesian village of Desa Purba while searching for her missing partner. What begins as an unauthorised investigation gradually descends into ritual horror, grotesque creatures, and an increasingly unstable reality, drawing heavily on Indonesian folklore and horror cinema.

Separuh Interactive has also been attracting attention well beyond Indonesia. At Tokyo Game Show, the team visited Kojima Productions and demonstrated the game directly to Hideo Kojima and his team, who provided feedback on the project.

Still Does Not Have a Release Date

Despite earlier talk surrounding a potential 2027 launch, Wired Productions has not officially committed to a release window. The next substantial update is much closer, however.

A longer Agni: Village of Calamity gameplay trailer will debut on October 29 at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show, giving Separuh Interactive another chance to show how its investigation, survival horror, and increasingly supernatural combat fit together.
