Arknights Gets Native PC Version, Only in China for Now

Arknights Will Be Getting a Native Pc Version in the China Region. There is No Information Yet Regarding a Global Release.

As one of the most popular mobile games today, Arknights has proven that there is room for a tower defence and tactical roleplaying hybrid game to become a success. Developer Hypergraph has continued to deliver what players want, along with a strong character-based monetisation strategy featuring charming female characters. It is no wonder that the mobile title has maintained relevance for five years, and now, it is preparing to expand to a new platform.

In exciting news for players who have so far relied on mobile emulators to enjoy the game on PC, Hypergryph has officially announced that Arknights will be receiving a native PC version. It is essential to clarify that this is not about Arknights: Endfield, the new open-world spin-off project that is currently in the works.

Instead, this concerns the original Arknights game, which will finally be playable on PC through official means. However, as of the time of this writing, the PC version has only been confirmed for release in China, with no concrete release window announced yet. There has also been no official statement regarding a potential global launch.

Given the game’s significant global following and the longstanding community demand for a native PC version, it would make sense for Hypergryph and its global publishing partner, Yostar, to consider bringing it to a broader international audience seriously. If the response is anywhere near the mobile numbers, then there is no argument against it.

Arknights is not the only notable mobile game making the jump to PC. Recently, Blue Archive also announced plans for a native PC release, further signalling a growing trend of mobile gacha games expanding their reach to desktop platforms. This movement is undoubtedly a welcome development for gacha game enthusiasts around the world, offering a more accessible and optimised way to enjoy their favourite titles.
