Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Demo Is Available Now
Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have released a free demo for Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered, giving players an early taste of the remaster before it launches on October 1.
Available now on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the demo features the Battle of Hulao Gate (Allied Forces), reviving one of the game’s familiar scenarios with the remaster’s updated visuals and controls.
Players join Yuan Shao’s coalition of regional warlords as they attempt to stop Dong Zhuo from consolidating his power, with six officers available to take into battle.
Six Officers Are Playable in the Hulao Gate Demo
The demo roster includes Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Zhenji, Zhou Yu, and Sun Shangxiang, giving players a range of characters to test before release.
The stage also hides an additional challenge as players may encounter a particularly formidable opponent at the end of the scenario if certain conditions are fulfilled during the battle, although the publisher is keeping that encounter under wraps for now.
Players can also adjust difficulty and language settings, letting them tailor the demo before jumping into the battlefield.
Online Two-Player Co-Op Is Coming After Launch
Alongside the demo, Koei Tecmo has reiterated plans for an online two-player co-op mode following the game’s release.
The feature was announced during the Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Tokyo Game Show 2026 special stage and will arrive through a post-launch update. A release date and further details have yet to be announced. Offline two-player co-op, meanwhile, will already be included at launch.
Dynasty Warriors 3 Returns With Xtreme Legends Content
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered combines content from the original Dynasty Warriors 3 and its expansion, Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends.
More than 40 returning officers will be included alongside familiar mechanics such as True Musou Attacks, with updated graphics and controls, joined by additional features and new scenarios featuring multiple playable officers.
Digital pre-orders are now available for both the standard edition and Digital Deluxe Edition. The latter adds 42 weapons, Six Secret Teachings, the Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet, an Officer Concept Art Collection and 42 retro costumes based on the original game. Anyone who pre-orders before September 30 will also receive the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle as a bonus.
