GTA VI Pre-Orders Finally Give Fans A Firmer Countdown

Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA VI pre-orders will open on June 25, giving players the clearest sign yet that the long-awaited sequel is moving into the next stage of its launch campaign.

The announcement arrived alongside a short new video revealing the game’s official cover art, which follows the familiar Grand Theft Auto collage style. As expected, the artwork places Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos at the centre while showcasing more of the crime, chaos, and sun-soaked atmosphere surrounding Leonida and its Vice City-inspired setting.

Rockstar Reveals GTA VI Cover Art

The newly revealed cover art feels instantly recognisable as Grand Theft Auto, using multiple illustrated panels to capture the game’s characters, setting and attitude.

Jason and Lucia remain the clear focus, reinforcing the dual-protagonist structure that Rockstar has been building around since GTA VI’s early reveals. The wider artwork also gives players another look at Leonida’s modern crime world, with the usual mix of vehicles, wildlife, nightlife and trouble that fans expect from the series.

Naturally, the reveal has already sparked plenty of fan analysis. Grand Theft Auto cover art has always doubled as a tone-setter, and GTA VI’s version gives Rockstar another opportunity to define the game’s identity before the next major trailer or gameplay breakdown arrives.

Pricing And Editions Are Still Under Wraps

While the pre-order date is now confirmed, Rockstar has not yet revealed full pricing details or edition information. That means players are still waiting to see whether GTA VI will launch with a standard edition only, multiple digital editions, a collector’s edition, or premium bundles tied to GTA Online. Given the scale of the release, it would not be surprising if Rockstar has more to reveal once pre-orders officially begin.

For now, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be able to wishlist the game and prepare for pre-orders through official storefronts and participating retailers. The lack of PC details remains unchanged. GTA VI is currently confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC release date announced at the time of writing.

Moving Into Its Final Marketing Stretch

GTA VI is easily the biggest release on the calendar, and its launch timing has already become a major industry talking point. Few games have enough gravity to influence the wider release schedule, but Rockstar’s sequel is one of them. Publishers will be watching the November window closely, especially as GTA VI is expected to dominate attention across consoles, streaming platforms and social media once it arrives.

The cover art reveal and pre-order date do not answer every remaining question. Players still want pricing, editions, gameplay specifics and more details on how GTA Online will evolve alongside the new game. Still, this is the clearest sign yet that the countdown is moving forward. After more than a decade since Grand Theft Auto V first launched, Rockstar is finally preparing to open the door to GTA VI pre-orders.

GTA VI launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
