iterhaus Jakarta Creative Hub Expands iterco Beyond Game Publishing

iterco is expanding beyond game publishing with the launch of iterhaus, a new creative hub, and Porch, a community café in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Singapore-based publisher has worked with studios and creators across Southeast Asia, publishing 10 game titles and receiving more than 15 international industry awards and nominations. Now, the company is using that experience to create a physical space where developers, founders, artists, designers, brands, students, freelancers, and digital creators can meet, work, and build together.

For iterco, Indonesia was a natural place to begin this next chapter. The country’s game and creative communities have grown quickly in recent years, with more developers and creators producing work that travels across Southeast Asia and beyond. As that ecosystem grows, the need for regular in-person connection becomes more important.

iterhaus Is Built for Work, Events, and Collaboration

At the centre of the initiative is iterhaus, which is designed as more than a standard coworking space. The hub includes dedicated and flexible desks, meeting rooms, event areas, playtesting facilities, a hybrid motion capture and podcast studio, community programmes, workshops, networking sessions, and creator-focused initiatives.

That mix is clearly aimed at the practical needs of game developers and creative teams. A playtest room gives developers somewhere to test ideas with real users, while the motion capture and podcast studio opens up space for production, content, and storytelling.

The bigger ambition is to turn everyday work into stronger community exchange. Rather than only offering desks, iterhaus wants to become a place where conversations can lead to collaborations, partnerships, and new projects.

Porch Offers a More Casual Entry Point

Porch sits alongside iterhaus as the more public-facing part of the space. The community café is designed for remote work, informal meetings, creator meetups, brand collaborations, and industry activations. It gives people a lower-pressure way into the wider iterhaus community, whether they are grabbing coffee, meeting collaborators, or discovering local brands.

That matters because creative ecosystems do not only grow through formal panels and business meetings. Sometimes, the useful introduction happens over a casual conversation before anything has been planned. Together, iterhaus and Porch create a connected space where someone can start with a coffee meeting, move into a workshop, and eventually form a longer-term collaboration.

A Physical Home for Indonesia’s Next Creators

While iterhaus has roots in the game development industry, iterco is positioning it for a wider creative audience. The company says it will continue building programmes and partnerships with brands, educational institutions, and community groups, with the goal of supporting both individual creators and Indonesia’s wider creative industries.

Matthew Quek, CEO of iterco, said the company wanted to give back after working closely with game developers across Southeast Asia, adding that there was a need for a central hub where developers could meet, share ideas, showcase their work, and build relationships.

iterhaus and Porch are both located at Jl Barito I no. 21, Kramat Pela, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. iterhaus operates 24/7, while Porch opens from 7 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 7 AM to 11 PM on weekends.

For Indonesia’s growing game and creator scene, the launch gives the community something valuable: a place to keep showing up.
