Since separating from Square Enix, IO Interactive has successfully expanded its flagship franchise, Hitman, and has even earned the trust to have their take on one of the world’s most iconic fictional spies, James Bond. That spy has finally reemerged with a new, official title for the game: 007: First Light.

Yes, we’re talking about IO Interactive’s long-anticipated James Bond game, which was first announced nearly five years ago. After years of speculation and near radio silence, the first concrete details about the game have now been unveiled.

First and foremost, the title has been confirmed as 007: First Light. As the name implies, the game will explore the origin story of James Bond, charting the journey of how he becomes the legendary secret agent we’ve come to know over decades of film and literature.
