LumenTale: Memories of Trey Is Coming to PS5 and Xbox

Team17 and Beehive Studios have confirmed that LumenTale: Memories of Trey will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year. The monster-collecting RPG originally released in May on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, with the latter also playable on Nintendo Switch 2 through backwards compatibility.

No specific release date has been announced for the new console versions yet, but the move will bring the game’s creature-collecting, turn-based battles, and crafting systems to a broader audience before the end of the year.

More Than 140 Animon Can Be Collected and Trained

LumenTale: Memories of Trey follows Trey, who awakens in the world of Talea with no memory of his past and sets out to discover what happened to him.

Along the way, players encounter creatures known as Animon, which are infused with a powerful energy called Anivis. More than 140 Animon can be collected, either through capture or battle, with each one offering different elemental affinities and emotional attributes.

Combat is turn-based, with encounters ranging from one-on-one duels to larger 4v4 battles across both PvE and PvP modes. Players can also use Art Cards to improve their chances of finding specific Animon or rarer Lost variants, with trading supported locally and online through the Animon Trade Station.

The Anispace Adds a More Relaxed Side to the Adventure

Outside of battles and exploration, players can spend time in the Anispace, a separate area built around training and bonding with collected Animon. Furniture can be crafted or purchased to customise the space, while spending more time with creatures there strengthens their relationship with Trey and improves their effectiveness in battle.

The wider journey through Talea also includes cooking and crafting systems, with fountains acting as rest points where players can prepare food and create useful resources.

That gives LumenTale: Memories of Trey a structure that moves between exploration, creature collecting and quieter management elements rather than focusing entirely on combat.

PS5 and Xbox Versions Are Due Later This Year

Beehive Studios has not announced whether the console release will include any additional features or content beyond what is already available on PC and Switch.

For players who enjoy creature collectors but prefer a stronger emphasis on bonding, customisation and crafting alongside battles, this console release from Beehive and Team17 could be a good excuse to finally visit Talea.

LumenTale: Memories of Trey is currently available on Steam and Nintendo Switch, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions now confirmed for later this year.
