Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Officially Delayed to 2026

Skydance Games Has Officially Delayed the Release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to Early 2026.

Marvel Games‘ foray into the gaming industry has been an exciting venture welcomed with open arms by fans worldwide. Their ability to adapt to various genres brings a breath of fresh air, especially considering the diverse range of studios and talents entrusted to bring these stories to life. One of the most anticipated titles in this lineup is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, developed by Skydance Interactive. Unfortunately, for those eager to experience it this year, there is some disappointing news.

The original timeframe was for a Holiday 2025 release, but as with most things, the situation has changed. The announcement came directly from Skydance Games via Twitter/X. The developer has decided to push the release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from its original 2025 schedule to early 2026.

The reasoning behind the delay is fairly standard in the industry. Despite the buzz not only around the Marvel brand but also the involvement of Amy Hennig — a veteran known for her work on the Uncharted franchise — the team expressed the need for more time. This extra time will be dedicated to polishing the game and ensuring the final product meets the high expectations of fans and developers alike.

Other than an impressive cinematic trailer showcasing a conflict between Captain America and Black Panther, not much information has been shared about the game. Set during World War II, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is expected to feature four main protagonists, diving deep into a war-torn world filled with Marvel’s signature storytelling and action.

Unfortunately, there is still no information regarding when we might see actual gameplay and how that will look. While the delay is disappointing, Skydance Games is clearly aiming to deliver the best possible version of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, and a little more patience might just be worth the wait.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
