In a surprising and exciting move, Arc System Works, known for its expertise in the fighting game genre, will join forces with the folks at Marvel. The project, titled Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, marks a bold new partnership that also involves PlayStation. Backed by what appears to be a substantial budget and creative ambition, the game is poised to make a significant impact, and its public debut is happening sooner than expected.
Sony officially announced via the PlayStation Blog that Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be showcased at the world’s biggest fighting game tournament: EVO 2025. The event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from August 1 to August 3, and attendees will have the opportunity to experience an early build of the game firsthand, offering a glimpse of its unique 4v4 gameplay format.
The demo will feature a six-character roster, allowing players to choose from iconic Marvel heroes and villains, including Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Doctor Doom. Alongside the playable demo, Arc System Works is also preparing exclusive merchandise for visitors who stop by their booth at EVO.

Beyond just hands-on gameplay, the game will also be the subject of a special Developer Combat Panel hosted by ArcSys and Marvel Games during the Evo Showcase Stage.
