Nivalis Nights PC Launch Opens Up a Cyberpunk Life Sim
After years of development, 505 Games and ION LANDS have officially launched Nivalis Nights on PC via Steam, opening up a considerably more relaxed side of cyberpunk life. The studio behind Cloudpunk is returning to the same sprawling city of Nivalis, but this time players are not simply passing through its neon streets.
Instead, Nivalis Nights is built around settling down, building a business, meeting its residents and deciding how to spend each day. The game is available with a 10% launch discount for a limited time.
Start With a Noodle Stall and Build a Business Empire
Players begin modestly, running a small noodle stall before gradually expanding their operations across Nivalis. That can eventually mean owning restaurants and nightclubs, with ingredients sourced from local markets or produced personally through activities such as growing food and fishing.
Business management is only part of the wider experience, though. Players can explore Nivalis on foot, by public transport and taxi, or by boat through the city’s canal network. Players can also buy and decorate homes, giving them another way to put their own stamp on the world rather than treating the city purely as a backdrop.
Relationships Matter as Much as Business
The other side of Nivalis Nights is considerably more personal. Residents have their own stories, and spending time with them can lead to new customers, friendships and potentially romantic relationships.
That slower emphasis on simply existing within an unusual world shares some DNA with other cosy games we have enjoyed, including the surprisingly peaceful apocalypse of I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival, although Nivalis swaps sunlit rooftops for rain-soaked streets and towering neon skylines.
You don’t need to spend every waking hour chasing business growth, either. Fishing, exploring hidden alleyways and canals, decorating a home or simply getting to know the people around town are all part of the intended rhythm.
Nivalis Nights Passed One Million Wishlists Before Launch
Interest has been building for quite some time. 505 Games says Nivalis Nights surpassed one million wishlists following its original reveal in 2021, giving the long-awaited launch a substantial audience from day one.
The release also adds another very different game to 505 Games’ 2026 slate, which has ranged from cyberpunk slice-of-life simulation to much heavier action releases and acquisitions, including its continued investment in the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers series.
