Unleash Swift Destruction in Feline Roguelite Clawpunk

Prepare yourself, more roguelite action is coming your way thanks to Megabit and developers Kittens in Timespace. In CLAWPUNK, players will dive into melee-focused 2D action infused with roguelite elements and a selection of interesting feline characters.

Villainous gangs have overrun Feral City, and it will be up to furry heroes to save the day by unleashing their fury to obliterate everything. With nine characters to pick from, players are unleashed into fully destructible environments to do their thing: lay waste to everything standing in their way. Each of the heroes boasts unique base stats, primary weapons, and powerful special attacks that recharge based on your ability to string combos together.

“Megabit is the perfect partner to help bring CLAWPUNK to a global audience” said Jamie White, director and lead programmer at Kittens in Timespace. “They truly understand our vision for CLAWPUNK, a radical new action game with roguelite elements, that gives the player incredible freedom to approach each level in a variety of ways. It’s also no surprise that we love cats at Kittens in Timespace, so this game is a one-of-a-kind love letter to our badass feline friends out there.”

Each level is carefully crafted to adapt to different playstyles and skill sets, with players able to speed-run through areas or take a more aggressive approach by taking out enemies via a host of devastating melee attacks or an arsenal of ranged weapons. A scalable difficulty system will ensure that players of different skill levels will still get to enjoy the game.

It won’t be a linear experience as well, as any of the first four zones out of five can be tackled in the order you like. The action will be complemented by the distinct 80s’ and 90s’ retro, punk-inspired art style and metal soundtrack, and there will be collectible cards that can be found to mutate and enhance feline abilities in CLAWPUNK.

CLAWPUNK is set to launch on PC, with a release date to be unveiled soon.
