Theme Park Paradise Beckons As Planet Coaster 2 Targets November Launch

When it comes to theme park management sims, there are a few outstanding choices for fans of the genre, and at the head of the queue is often Planet Coaster. With its fun take on keeping things running well and entertaining guests with all sorts of rides, it shouldn’t be a surprise that its sequel is also highly anticipated. The wait won’t be that long, as Frontier Developments has announced that Planet Coaster 2 will open its doors to parkgoers this November 6.

Planet Coaster 2 invites players to expand their imagination with a spectacular selection of rides, slides, and so much more, with the inclusion of waterpark elements being the big standout. You will push the boundaries of creativity like never before thanks to powerful creative tools, next-level customisation, and vibrant themes, including Resort, Aquatic, Viking, and Mythology.

For the first time in Planet Coaster 2, players can quickly and easily customise rides and coasters in more detail than ever before to bring their ideas to life. A host of exhilarating rollercoasters and jaw-dropping thrill rides will bring excitement to any park, alongside vibrant water attractions like slides, flumes, wave pools, and more to delight and entertain. Using the brand-new event sequencer tool, players can also add mesmerising effects to their attractions, including animatronics and water fountains, that bring the dramatic fanfare of real-world theme parks to their guests.

Players will also have an easier time managing their parks and making sure everything is in top condition, thanks to useful new heatmaps and more detailed individual insights that can take your park from being amongst the best right to the very top.

The new waterpark gameplay also comes with even greater authenticity, with details inspired by real-world parks. Shade, sunscreen, lifeguards, changing rooms, and more are all paramount to ensure guests have their best day both in and out of the pool. And, of course, even the most sensational rides must also be supplied with power and water to stay operational. Pools must be kept pristine, and facilities should be maintained to the highest standard to ensure maximum safety and happiness.

If that’s not enough, Planet Coaster 2 offers more ways to share than ever before, including the ability to jump one-at-a-time into a shared Sandbox level to build together across platforms for the first time ever. Players will also be able to visit friends’ parks to experience their creations at the touch of a button, race to the top of the Franchise mode leaderboard, and share and download blueprints and entire parks via the cross-platform Frontier Workshop.

Fans can pre-order the sequel to receive the Bonus Ride Collection, which adds the rotating tracked ride FD Vision, the Outmax Water Coaster, and dizzying flat ride The Cube to your collection. For players choosing to pre-order the Deluxe Edition, there is also the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack to play with, including an additional ten coasters and rides inspired by iconic fairground rides.

Planet Coaster 2 launches November 6 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
