Xbox Partner Preview October 2024: All the Details You Need

With each passing day, it seems like the number of games we will need to keep our eyes on is only getting higher, and that is most certainly a welcomed conundrum. With Microsoft taking the stage with the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, it was time for players to see what else awaited in the gaming giant’s pipeline for both console and PC.

Over 28 minutes, trailer after trailer bombarded our senses, giving us a glimpse of the future that contains the likes of more Alan Wake 2, Like a Dragon, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. If you need a quick recap of just what was shown, read on.


Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC

The upcoming DLC for Alan Wake 2 will arrive on October 22, but that didn’t stop Microsoft from teasing us even more with this new trailer. The month of Halloween sure is perfect for this new addition.

Chronos: The New Dawn

Speaking of creepy, Bloober Team is following up the success of the recent Silent Hill 2 remake with a reveal of their new original IP. Chronos: The New Dawn. A third-person horror game, it will come out sometime next year.

Blindfire

It’s all about the darkness in Blindfire, a fast-moving shooter that wants to challenge players to be the last one standing. That’s hard enough already, but when you cannot rely on your sight, only the best will survive. It’s available now in Game Preview on both console and PC.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

We played it and loved every second of it, and now, we get to see just how the navel combat works in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire

The shooter that isn’t just about style, but also plenty of substance, Mouse: P.I for Hire will be launching sometime in 2025.

Subnautica 2

More alien planets come our way, as Subnautica 2 aims for an Early Access release in 2025 alongside a presence on Game Pass.

Animal Well

For those eager to try out Animal Well on Xbox, your day has come. The platformer can now be yours on the Xbox Series X.

Edens Zero

A fantasy action-RPG that is based on the manga of the same name, it’s time to relive the story and explore an open-world planet as you adventure across the Sakura Cosmos. Put yourself in the action, and experience the thrills and emotion of the story along with your favourite characters.

Eternal Strands

Cast and combine frost, flame, and kinetic magic to take down massive 25-meter foes in the new fantasy action-adventure game, Eternal Strands, which arrives early 2025.

Mistfall Hunter

A new extraction experience, Mistfall Hunter is a third-person action RPG set on a dark, mysterious, Nordic-inspired continent filled with creatures, loot, and those seeking glory. It is targeting 2025 for release.

Wheel World

Time to customise your bike, explore, and race to save the world in Wheel World. The two-wheeled adventure comes from Annapurna Interactive, and will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass.

Phasmophobia

Continuing the strong theme of horror, hit co-op title Phasmophobia will be scaring up some fun on Xbox Series X this October 29.

The Legend of Baboo

Play as both Sepehr and his loyal dog, Baboo, in this mystical, third-person action-adventure. Together they set off on a journey through magical lands to rescue their family from a dark and ancient evil.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Another Soulslike that catches the eye, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will push players to the limits as they face off against an onslaught of monstrous creatures, and you are going to look extremely stylish while doing so. That is, if you actually make it out alive. The game will launch on Xbox Game Pass day one in 2025.

FBC: Firebreak

Last but certainly not least, the world of Remedy Entertainment’s Control will be getting more fleshed out via the standalone multiplayer shooter, FBC: Firebreak. Teams of three will join up with the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), and face down a deadly and prolonged siege by otherworldly forces.
