Dungeon Inn 1.0 Opens Its Doors on October 23

After almost two years of keeping two rival adventurer guilds blissfully unaware of each other, Cat Society’s Dungeon Inn is finally ready to leave Early Access. Publisher Spiral Up Games has confirmed that the turn-based management game will launch its full 1.0 version on October 23 for PC, completing Sara’s increasingly questionable innkeeping adventure with 12 story chapters and more than 20 hours of gameplay.

The finished game adds eight chapters beyond the original Early Access campaign, alongside new adventurers, events, upgrades and mechanics designed to make running this particular establishment considerably more complicated. A new trailer and further launch details will follow closer to release.

Dungeon Inn Gets Eight New Chapters for Its Full Release

The basic premise remains wonderfully dubious. Sara has struck a deal with a dragon to run an inn beside the entrance to its dungeon, which sounds profitable until two rival adventurer guilds begin using the same establishment.

Players therefore need to manipulate when adventurers arrive, keep both guilds happy and ensure they never discover Sara has been profiting from both sides. When we reviewed Dungeon Inn during Early Access, its turn-based take on management proved easy to learn and genuinely entertaining, particularly when carefully laid plans descended into chaos.

The bigger concern was longevity. Once its weekly routine became familiar, repeated events and mechanics could make longer sessions feel predictable, even with a strong foundation underneath.

Contraband and Blizzards Could Make Business More Complicated

That makes several of the 1.0 additions especially interesting. New guest behaviours will force players to reconsider how they manipulate incoming adventurers, while contraband trading introduces another potentially questionable way for Sara to keep the money flowing.

Seasonal weather is expanding too. Blizzards can now leave unprepared adventurers frozen in place, adding another variable when trying to ensure members of the Mountain and Seaside Guilds do not accidentally meet outside your front door.

Players will also gain additional facilities and skills to invest their profits into, providing more ways to optimise the inn as the campaign progresses. Most importantly, the eight additional chapters finally bring Sara’s contract with the dragon and her double-dealing story to its conclusion.

Dungeon Inn Autumn Map

Dungeon Inn originally entered Steam Early Access on November 13, 2024, with four months of its story and 16 stages available at launch. It has since earned a Very Positive Steam rating, with 92% of its current 590 user reviews recommending the game.

The October 23 launch now gives Cat Society an opportunity to answer the biggest question hanging over that Early Access version: whether adding more variables, characters and surprises can keep Sara’s balancing act interesting across a full campaign.

Considering contraband and freezing adventurers are now part of normal business operations, things certainly seem unlikely to get quieter.
