Nekome: Nazi Hunter Demo Arrives October 19
ProbablyMonsters has revealed more of the villains standing in Vano Nastasu’s way in Nekome: Nazi Hunter, alongside confirming that its first public demo will arrive during Steam Next Fest from October 19 to 26.
The new trailer, shown during the Galaxies Autumn Showcase, introduces Hitler’s Hyenas, the game’s fictional group of Nazi agents that Vano will pursue across occupied Europe. Each member is intended to present a different challenge as his revenge takes him deeper into grief and violence.
Players will first get to try the game through a free Nekome: Nazi Hunter demo on Steam when Steam Next Fest begins.
Hitler’s Hyenas Give Vano Targets for His Revenge
Nekome: Nazi Hunter is a stylised third-person narrative action game set during the Second World War, following Vano Nastasu, a young Romani man whose family is murdered by Nazis.
Rather than treating that background purely as motivation for its action, ProbablyMonsters says Vano’s Romani identity and the persecution of his community are central to the narrative. The development team has worked with historians and cultural consultants while building the story.
Game Director Jeronimo Barrera describes the journey as Vano’s transformation from “hunted to hunter”, with each member of Hitler’s Hyenas moving him closer to revenge while pulling him further into his own anger. That approach also feeds directly into combat. Players can stalk enemies and rely on stealth takedowns or confront them in close-quarters combat and with firearms.
Fear and Notoriety Can Change Enemy Behaviour
How violently Vano operates can have consequences beyond an individual encounter through the game’s Fear and Notoriety system. As his reputation grows and his killings become more brutal, enemy soldiers may begin panicking or fleeing instead of standing their ground. It gives the revenge fantasy a mechanical consequence, with Vano’s reputation potentially becoming another weapon.

The Steam Next Fest demo will focus on Hordes of the Reich, an additional 25-stage arena mode, rather than a slice of the main campaign. Challenges shift between stealth, silent kills, direct brawling and gunplay, with discarded weapons available to turn against the Nazi forces.
ProbablyMonsters is treating this version as an early test of the mode and will be collecting player feedback throughout the event.
Nekome: Nazi Hunter is currently targeting early 2027 for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
