Dreamhaven Showcase Unveils Fps Wildgate, Rpg Sunderfolk & More

Starting a new venture is always a risk, but for gaming legend Mike Morhaime, it is an opportunity to do more for the industry. Together with The Game Awards‘ Geoff Keighley, Morhaime’s Dreamhaven has finally revealed several projects that will excite players as part of the Dreamhaven Showcase. This includes the crew-based first-person shooter Wildgate, the tabletop-inspired roleplaying game Sunderfolk, the full launch of Lynked: Banner of the Spark, and the auto-battler Mechabellum.

Wildgate

Set in the far reaches of space, Moonshot Games Wildgate combines action-packed emergent gameplay with explosive spaceship combat for a fresh take on the multiplayer genre. Players will team up in small crews to venture into a hostile, unpredictable, and mysterious region of space in search of an ancient relic known as the Artifact.

While pursuing the Artifact, players must work together to pilot their spacecraft, plunder wreckage, and discover forgotten loot. To win, crews must successfully reach the exit point with the Artifact or go for a domination victory by destroying all rival ships by whatever means necessary.

Expect epic space battles, new adventures with the procedurally generated map, unique abilities and tools, and exploration that will excite. WIldgate is launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

Sunderfolk

The Dreamhaven Showcase also unveiled a tactical co-op adventure coming from Secret Door. Inspired by tabletop gaming, Sunderfolk sees players embark on an enthralling quest through the Sunderlands to save their peaceful animal village, Arden, from a mysterious corruption.

Using a phone or tablet as a controller for the onscreen action, up to four players can explore vibrant locations, encounter colorful characters, challenge fearsome monsters, and discover hidden secrets. With no elaborate setup, rulebooks, or materials needed, Sunderfolk is a streamlined alternative to the traditional tabletop gaming experience, bringing tabletop veterans and casual players together to enjoy a charming fantasy adventure in an accessible format.

Choose to play as one of six distinctive heroes with varying abilities and strategic roles, customising them with weapons, armour, items, and skills, and all you need is one copy of Sunderfolk and the accompanying controller app on iOS or Android. And you don’t even have to wait that long, as Sunderfolk will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on April 23.

Lynked: Banner of the Spark

The full version of Lynked: Banner of the Spark is set for a May 22 release, with FuzzyBot adding five new chapters, five new bosses, a new biome, and more as the action RPG marches towards 1.0. As expected, you will be rescuing more bots, building out the town further, and engaging in the fast-paced action that is the game’s hallmark.

The 1.0 release will also include the Buddy Up update, bringing Chef Brot into the mix for players to craft up to 100 new delicious meals for Unibot residents and boost battle ranks through the power of cooking. Additionally, Buddy Up! enables over 100 resident Unibots to join you in battle, selecting up to two companions in single-player and one in multiplayer.

“Since day one, our goal with Lynked was to create a colorful action RPG that blends heartwarming town-building with high-energy action, and player feedback has been instrumental in shaping that vision,” said Max Spielberg, co-founder of FuzzyBot and creative director. “Version 1.0 is the culmination of that journey, bringing new challenges, tools, and surprises for both longtime players and newcomers alike.”

Mechabellum

Dreamhaven is partnering with Game River to publish its auto-battler, Mechabellum. Inspired by classic real-time strategy games, the game tasks players with commanding a mech army to defeat tens of thousands of real players across the globe.

Select from an extensive array of battle-ready mechs with distinct capabilities and tactical advantages. Customise units, position them strategically, and work to predict or counter the opponent’s moves. Success depends on outsmarting or outmaneuvering the opposition. Whether it be 1v1 duels, 2v2 team battles, or a free-for-all, players must count on all their wits to make things count, learning and tweaking for the best outcomes.

“Game River has created one of the most tactically-rich and strategically-deep auto battlers on the market with Mechabellum,” said Morhaime. “I am a proud, avid player. It’s one of the best games developed in the last decade, and we believe people will be playing even a decade from now.”

Mechabellum is now available, and interested players can check out the game during the Steam Free to Play Weekend on April 4 to 8.
