Elta: Defy All Gods Release Date Set for February 2
Focus Entertainment Publishing and Afterburner Studios have confirmed that Elta: Defy All Gods will launch on February 2, 2027, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Players don’t have to wait until then to see how its mix of martial arts, platforming, and science-fiction exploration comes together. A free demo is available now across all three platforms and covers the opening 45 to 60 minutes of the game.
Elta: Defy All Gods was first revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live, where it appeared among the many new games showcased.
The Free Demo Ends With Your First Boss Fight
Players step into the role of Victus, a warrior monk searching for the missing dragon-god Elta. The demo introduces the game’s free-form melee combat, traversal and science-fiction environments before eventually leading into a confrontation with Kan Loa’s Chosen, the first boss encounter.
Combat mixes martial arts with magical attacks, while progression lets Victus and Elta unlock additional fighting moves and acrobatic abilities throughout the full adventure. Afterburner Studios is also building the game around three interconnected science-fantasy worlds, with traversal abilities used to reach new areas and uncover hidden paths.
Those interested can find the demo through the game’s official Elta: Defy All Gods page.

Elta: Defy All Gods Targets a 15 to 20-Hour Adventure
Afterburner Studios estimates the full experience will take around 15 to 20 hours, with Game Director and co-founder Ian Cofino saying the studio wanted the demo and lower price point to make it easier for players to decide whether to continue Victus’ journey.
Pre-orders are also live, with early buyers receiving the Vanguard Armor DLC. The cosmetic gives Victus an alternate ceremonial armour set said to have been worn during the Empyreal War. The bonus is cosmetic only, while the main game will follow Victus through its complete journey across three corrupted worlds.
Afterburner Studios Is Going Bigger After Dreamscaper
Elta: Defy All Gods is Afterburner Studios’ second title, following Dreamscaper. The studio describes its latest project as a considerably more ambitious action-platformer, taking inspiration from brawlers and 3D Metroidvania-style exploration while retaining its focus on responsive combat.
Elta: Defy All Gods launches February 2, 2027, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
