Gacha Rpg Azur Promilia Starts China Playtests in April

Azur Lane is just the type of game that even if you are not a fan, chances are, you would have heard of it. The ship/female-themed gacha game has remained popular primarily due to its stunningly designed female characters, and for fans, there is now something new to look forward to as well. Developer Manjuu Games is back with more details about its latest project, Azur Promilia.

First introduced nearly a year ago with an initial trailer before disappearing from the spotlight, many fans began to speculate that Azur Promilia was facing development issues behind the scenes. However, after months of silence, the game is finally ready to reintroduce itself.

Through a recent social media post, Manjuu Games confirmed that Azur Promilia will be holding an offline playtest session in Shanghai. The registration period will run until the end of March 2025, with the playtest scheduled for April 2025. Selected participants will be required to provide feedback on their experience but will be prohibited from publicly discussing the playtest’s content.

For those unfamiliar with Azur Promilia, the game features an adorable cast of female characters alongside a unique Pokémon-style creature recruitment system, allowing players to collect and utilise animals as companions for both battles and exploration.

Here’s the official description:

Azur Promilia is a fantasy world RPG with creature companionship. Step into a fantasy world, utterly different from the world you know. The world of various civilizations, magic and incredible fantasy creatures, together with tales echoing in the starry sky. Take a daring leap from the sky into the ocean, to once again encounter and bond with new life. Guided by shooting stars, amid the sparkling constellations, this is your very own journey. The entire universe eagerly anticipates the ballad of stars and odyssey, exclusively yours to unfold.

Alongside this announcement, Manjuu Games also introduced a new character named Anby through a short teaser, though specific details about her remain scarce. She will likely be one of the characters available in the upcoming playtest.

There is currently no information on whether similar playtest sessions will be conducted outside of China or made available online. As of now, Azur Promilia is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC, though an official launch window has yet to be confirmed.
