PAYDAY: Aces High Release Date Set for November 5

Fast Travel Games has confirmed a November 5 release date for PAYDAY: Aces High, bringing its purpose-built VR take on Starbreeze‘s co-op heist series to Meta Quest, SteamVR and Steam Frame.

Before the full job begins, players have one last opportunity to try it themselves. A final playtest is now live on Meta Quest and Steam through October 26, with the PC version also participating in Steam Next Fest. Anyone who joins the test will receive an exclusive Kitty Mask to use when the full game launches.

PAYDAY: Aces High Brings Four-Player Heists Into VR

Rather than adapting an existing PAYDAY game for headsets, Aces High is designed specifically for VR. Players form crews of up to four, then select weapons, gadgets, and skills, scout the location, and decide whether to keep it quiet or let the situation descend into gunfire.

We previously got a closer look at how PAYDAY: Aces High translates its heists, classes and gadgets into VR, including its four playable Aces. Hearts fills the Mastermind role, Clubs specialises in stealth as the Ghost, Diamonds handles technology as the Technician, while Spades is the Enforcer built for when subtlety stops being an option.

Weapons include assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns and pistols, alongside gadgets such as grapples and sentry guns. Players can reinvest cash and reputation earned from successful jobs into additional skills, equipment, and weapons.

Final Playtest Gives Players Two Weeks to Prepare

The current playtest follows an earlier community test in August, with Fast Travel Games saying it used feedback from those sessions to tune the game ahead of release.

Chief Creative Officer Erik Odeldahl said players were already coordinating stealth approaches before scrambling to recover when plans fell apart, which is exactly the kind of improvisation the studio wants Aces High to capture in VR.

PAYDAY: Aces High Release Date Set for November 5

The final test runs until October 26 across Meta Quest and Steam, giving prospective crews one more opportunity to practise before the full release.

PAYDAY: Aces High launches November 5 on Meta Quest, SteamVR and Steam Frame. With the latter also supported at launch, Valve’s standalone VR headset joins Meta Quest as another way to pull off its four-player jobs without relying solely on traditional PC VR hardware.
