ROG Xbox Ally X20 Singapore Bundle Costs S$3,599
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 is officially heading to Singapore, but ASUS isn’t positioning its 20th-anniversary handheld as an impulse buy. Pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally X20 Ultimate Bundle open on September 14 exclusively through the ASUS Online Store, priced at SG$3,599.
We first saw the ROG Xbox Ally X20 at Computex, where Republic of Gamers marked its 20th anniversary with a translucent black handheld, gold internal accents and a significant hardware upgrade over the existing ROG Xbox Ally family.
Singapore buyers will only be getting the full Ultimate Bundle for now, pairing the handheld with ROG’s XREAL gaming glasses and several bespoke accessories.
OLED Finally Comes to the ROG Xbox Ally
The X20’s headline upgrade is its new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display, replacing the IPS panels used across previous Ally models. It runs at 1920 x 1080 with a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro, Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification. ASUS rates brightness at 600 nits normally and up to 1,400 nits peak.
Inside sits AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, accompanied by 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD. It still has an 80Wh battery, though the larger chassis now weighs 756g.
The anniversary model also introduces full-size TMR joysticks, a transforming D-pad, HD haptics and Xbox-style impulse triggers, while retaining two assignable rear buttons. The translucent shell is part of ROG’s wider Edition 20 hardware collection, created to celebrate the gaming brand’s formation in 2006.
XREAL R1 Glasses Turn It Into a Portable Big Screen
The other major component is the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses. Connected directly to the handheld via USB-C, the glasses can project a virtual screen up to 171 inches at four metres, using Sony micro-OLED panels with 1920 x 1080 resolution per eye.
Refresh rates reach 120Hz normally or 240Hz with Frame Rate Boost, accompanied by a 0.01ms panel response time and 57-degree field of view. Native 3DoF tracking lets the display respond to head movement, while Anchor Mode can lock the virtual screen in a fixed position, while audio is provided by Bose.
The Rest of the S$3,599 Package Is Equally Elaborate
ASUS is leaning heavily into the bundle’s collector appeal. A customised dbrand Killswitch includes a kickstand, ruggedised grips, joystick covers and a black-and-gold circuit board skin based on the X20’s internals.
There is also a Pelican Protector Case fitted with red ROG latches and a 20th anniversary badge, alongside a 68W power adapter. The entire package therefore feels less like a straightforward successor to the SG$1,299 ROG Xbox Ally X and more like ASUS attempting to create a no-compromise anniversary showcase.
Whether the combination of OLED handheld, premium AR glasses and collector accessories can justify SG$3,599 is another question entirely.
